Development and building approvals

Building and development regulation within the Fraser Coast Local Government area is managed by Development Assessment and Regulatory Services within Fraser Coast Regional Council.

Council services includes

Development Assessment Review Team meetings (DART)

DART meetings provide an opportunity for applicants and Council to discuss key issues relevant to the assessment of a proposal prior to lodging a development application.  DART meetings are a chargeable service. 

ExpressWay

Council has established a number of ExpressWay initiatives to significantly reduce timeframes and workload involved with the assessment of development applications.

PD Online and development application tracking

An online service that provides Council's customers with the ability to view and print information and track the progress of development applications online.

RiskSmart applications

RiskSmart is a process that enables low-risk development applications to be quickly assessed against planning schemes provisions.
